Collaboration with Xanu Pintor

I’m currently taking an extremely long time on a collaboration with the painter and Insectotropics founding member Xanu Martinez. We originally agreed to take about 10 months, and now it’s at least 6 months over, entirely due to my slow progress.

The idea is we both do five square paintings, then exchange them and add to each others work, respecting what’s come before. Currently we’re in the second phase, so I’m very carefully adding to Xanu’s works. It’s a delicate process, but I’m excited about what’s coming out. And even better, I have no idea what Xanu’s doing to my paintings.

Hopefully in a few months we’ll be able to think about showing this work somewhere. Once I’m actually finished…
