Orange peel

This is the second of three paintings made up of 10 different angled lines. Each is on a light beige background. This one is a slightly faded burnt orange color. The organization is vaguely wave like, though the reversed angles of the lines, going against the movement of the painting overall makes it more halting than wave like. I don’t know how to describe it. It looks really odd on its side (not illustrated!).

The process is pretty much down now, though nothing can really speed it up. I think end to end this has taken around 30 hours so far. Once I’ve done a bit of cleaning up here and there, I’m moving straight onto the final version of this idea. It will most likely be the gentlest of the three.
