Passing breeze

A friend asked me do do a painting for their partner’s birthday, so I paused my current work to do that. They agreed to let me do what I want, and we agreed a main color (blue).

This develops the idea from verd/beix a little while ago, leaning into the long wave idea again. When I painted that one, I had in mind seeing late summer forests in the rain in Catalunya, when the green of the trees is somewhat greyed by the rain and mists.
A similar movement in blue, similarly faded a little, put me in mind of the Sega arcade game Out Run, and one of its themes, “Passing Breeze”… Doing a wave in blue has an obvious sea/sky feel to it.
